French and Czech terminology in European legislative texts concentrated on the field: Health protection

Primarily this thesis describes a new branch in the linguistics - the Corpus Linguistics. The thesis deals with the history of corpus linguistics and it explains the term "corpus" and describes the types of corpus. It deals also with the Czech National Corpus its history and its contribution to the research on the Czech language. Next, this thesis deals with parallel corpus which can examine more languages together. It describes how to work with the program called "ParaConc" which allow to analyze the parallel texts. The research target of this thesis is to analyze and evaluate the translations of terms in the European legislative texts from the domain: "The health protection".

The thesis called "Poutník od Otavy Otavan source of information about the history and cultural traditions of Prácheňsko" is focused on the contents, the structure of the given journals and their importance for the region Prácheňsko. The introduction includes definitions of the basic terms and presents characteristics of Prácheňsko. The thesis continues with a comparison of the given journals with many selected journals from Tábor, Jindřichův Hradec and České Budějovice. The main part of the thesis is based on analysis of the articles from Písek journals related to history and cultural traditions in the region Prácheňsko. The social situation of the country at the time when the journals were released the 2nd half of the 19th century was taken into account when working out this thesis. The aim of this thesis is evaluation of importance of chosen regional journals for the region Prácheňsko.

French repertoary at the South Bohemia Theatre (1945 - 2003)

As a lead-up this dissertation briefly describes the history of the Southbohemian Theatre. The main subject of this work is the French theatre repertory in the time period between 1945 and 2003. The work is aimed to assess the repertory especially from the point of genre structure (comedy, drama, tragedy), the proportion of French, Czech and other national literature plays and last but not least it considers reactions of critics in respect to the mentioned French plays. Part of the work is also a list of Southbohemian Theatre premiers in years 1945 - 2003 and a list of premiers of French authors.

Romanies in the Czech Republic

The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to provide an overview oh the situation and behaviour of Romanies in the Czech Republic. The paper deals with particular characteristics of the Roma population, the history and population's prospects in the future. The text is divided into four parts. The first one addresses the history of the Roma population, where Romanies came from, when they appeared in the Czech territory or what was their fate during the Second World War. The second part focuses on demographic characteristics of Roma population. The third part is devoted to social features, particularly to the matters of education and economic activity. The last part of this thesis discusses the projection of Roma population in the future.
